If you can get a college degree - go for it.

The thing that this post highlights is that:
* Those that can't get a college degree have no need to worry, as it is NOT the most important part of your career - the hard work is.
* Anyone that does get a college degree still needs to put in hard work, just like those that didn't get one. The difference is that you start off with slightly more credibility.

That is quite true in freelancing, but I think having degree gives meaning to our lives. Nicest if FREELANCER + COLLEGE DEGREE !

Great!

What you say is quite true. However, some writers -- like me, for instance -- work on freelance projects that require us to have detailed knowledge of subjects taught in college.

I couldn't do much in my freelance writing field if I didn't have a college degree.

What an excellent post!! You're completely right. Education only gives you so much. Experience speaks a lot louder.
