  1. Great, very great resource! Awesome collection, not only for freelancers.
I’d like to recommend twago for the job board section.

  2. Chad McCullough says:

For invoicing, I use Zoho Invoices. Absolutely love it.

  3. WOW!

    Thanks!
Why not make this into a PDF named “101 must-know websites” – with your own as #101 :-D

Once again thanks for making my life easier!

  4. Mike Smith says:

Thanks for the comments Robert, Chad & Henrik. Glad you all liked the post :)

  5. Meryl Evans says:

Must add Chrometa, a time tracking app. I had reviewed many time tracking apps as a reviewer and most were effective. Chrometa is the only one I kept using long, long after I finished the review. All I needed was an app that tracked when I started and stopped something without clicking anything. Just work and Chrometa takes care of it for you.

    • Mike Smith says:

Thanks for the tip Meryl. I’ll have to check Chrometa out as well. It sounds kind of like RescueTime from what I understand of it. Will go check out their site now :)

  6. Lara Dickson says:

Excellent resources, thanks for collecting. I have found Evernote indispensable for client meetings, conferences, project brainstorming, whatever.

  7. Anna says:

Awesome! This goes straight to my bookmarks. :D

  8. Cosmina says:

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for adding Fanurio to your resource list. If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact us.

    • Mike Smith says:

No problem! And thanks for reaching out to the readers who might be interested in Fanurio. It shows how connected your company is to its users, which is great!

  9. Marc Reece says:

This is a great resource I very much appreciate it. I was in need of a contract template I have book marked your sight and will spread the word

  10. Thanks for the great list of resources! I hope that you’ll consider adding our online time and expense tracking service, Syncd, to the mix. Syncd is popular with freelancers because our pricing isn’t tiered: all of our customers have access to all of our features, including SSL security, for $5/user/month. I know that there are a lot of services to wade through, so please feel free to drop me a note with any questions at heather@cerebris.com

Speaking of notes, I also wanted to echo Lara’s recommendation of Evernote. I’ve been using their iPhone app for about a year, and have found it to be really useful in keeping me and my thoughts organized!

    • Mike Smith says:

Hey Heather, No problem at all and thanks for the comment. Like Cosmina from above, your comment also shows how in Sync your company is (see what I did there? haha) with the freelance world. Glad to have you around and hope to see more comments from you :)

  11. Levin says:

Plus its 100% free, which is always great for a small business.

  13. Whitney says:

    Great List!
I would like to also suggest Voices.com.

Voices.com is a great site for both freelance voice over talent looking for work and for companies looking for a professional voice for their project.

The site is very user friendly; simply post your job and within minutes you’ll be able to listen to auditions for your project from professional voice overs.

    Thanks,
    Whitney

  14. Gorazd says:

I used a couple of them and then one day I found http://www.olivebox.net
It has great mobile time tracking application and super simple invoicing solution and payment management and also I’m using email marketing tool for managing email list and creating and sending email newsletters! Thumb UP for this solution!

  15. Arlen Mark says:

Great list of tools. Another tool worth looking is proofhub. Very easy and intuitive project management tool. Have a look.

Yaware is a good time tracker. It estimates performance and helps to reduce distractions.
