Marketing tips from Justin Bieber

Marketing tips from Justin Bieber

Today we’ve got a social icon that will be giving us our marketing tips. You can learn how to better your business from anywhere and in this post, I’m going to show you that you can learn a thing or two from Justin Bieber. Love him or hate him, he’s figured out how to market himself and become an international superstar, so I’d suggest grabbing a pen and taking some notes.

Utilize social media websites

From the very beginning, Justin Bieber was on Youtube. Why Youtube? Because he was singing and by putting the videos out, people could hear him and see him, which added to the amazement that he was such a great singer. When you’re using social media websites to boost your marketing efforts, are you getting the most bang for your buck? Don’t fall into the mistakes of facebook, twitter, linkedin or stumble upon, utilize these social media websites properly and you’re bound to make progress with your business.

Engage your core audience

Just like Justin has done, you can engage your core audience and allow them to help market your business for you. Instead of talking to everyone, talk to the people who you want to work with. If you’re looking to create more church websites like Church Media does, there’s no point in marketing to the beer drinking godless, right? Pick your core audience and let them sneeze your content for you (as Seth Godin would say).

Being yourself works better than a gimmick

From the very first videos Justin uploaded to Youtube (that now have over 25 MILLION views by the way), he was always himself. A kid who loved to sing and would do Chris Brown covers in his bedroom, he never tried to be anyone but himself. Even to this very day, Justin is Justin. By being yourself and displaying that in your business, you’ll be able to attract the type of clients that you will mesh best with.

Always follow your dreams

Just like the title of his new movie, “Never Say Never”, you need to follow your dreams and never detour from the goals you’ve set. When you’re able to define your goals and push forward towards them, you’ll be able to set yourself apart from anyone who is only doing a half ass job.

Embrace the labels

We all know how people label Justin Bieber, but have you looked at how he’s handled it? He not only created a super bowl commercial with Ozzy where he made fun of himself by using a label people have for him, he embraces the Bieber fever (in case you’re wondering, that’s a link to his official fan club website). When you’re able to take what people say about you and flip it into a positive, the benefits are endless.
