6 Hidden benefits of being a Self Made Freelancer
While most people rely on the help of others, a self made freelancer is in the opposite lane, doing things their own way. A self made freelancer is someone who doesn’t need backup when going to war and building their business.
Self made freelancers won’t ask for help when they know that it’s something they can do on their own.
Self made freelancers are exactly that – self made.
You stand on your own two feet and fight for what you want. You don’t ask permission, you reach out and grab it.
A self made freelancer is built from the ground up by the will power that we have and the determination to win. We win at any cost and we do whatever we have to in order to win.
So, while other people believe that you need a 5-6 person team in order to build a successful freelance business, we’ll be right here building an empire; alone and loving every minute of it.
Being a self made freelancer comes with some great benefits as well. I bet that you can relate to some of these benefits. In fact, I know you can.
Self made freelancers are self sufficient
When you’re in your office setting and you’ve got the world tuned out, you’re able to knock out tasks that you would have never imagined possible. Why? Because you don’t rely on anyone else and you’re able to buckle down and do seemingly impossible feats. You are self sufficient and you love it. How do I know this? Because I am self made and I love it.
Self made freelancers can survive in downturns
Have you ever noticed how a lot of bigger design companies who try to be the “freelance group” end up closing it’s doors after 6 months or a year? That’s because they’re not equip to bend and twist like we are. We can adapt to downturns and uprisings unlike the group settings which most people strive for.
Self made freelancers own the trenches
There’s a reason why in a war, the guys on the front lines are looked at as some of the bravest in combat. The same holds true for being a self made freelancer. We’re in the trenches – we own the trenches. Nobody can step foot into our area without us giving them approval. We know the trenches like the backs of our own hands and we’re damn good at what we do.
Self made freelancers answer to no one
We don’t have group meetings and we aren’t required to ‘check in’. We get up when we want to, work when we feel most productive and we do a hell of a job – all without having to answer to a boss or other freelance partners. We started the workday alone and we finish alone. There’s no one to hold us back and there’s nothing in our way of success, because we answer to no one.
Self made freelancers don’t have to share the spotlight
When we accomplish something big, there’s nobody there with their hand out hoping for a piece of the action because we never allowed that to happen. We build things ourselves and we get to take the pleasure of knowing that a job well done is because of us and us alone. Nobody can try and claim a stake in what we do, because we do it ourselves.
Self made freelancers can kick major ass
If you dropped a self made freelancer in the middle of the woods with only a stick and a bottle of water, we’d make it home alive. Try saying the same for those corporate guys who live the suit-and-tie life. They couldn’t handle a mile in our shoes and we know it.
